Jennings L. Hart worked at Davies, McFarland & Carroll from 2008 to 2017. After working in a national insurance defense practice, he returned to Davies as a member in January 2020.
Throughout his career, Attorney Hart has worked in busy insurance defense litigation firms. His practice has included complex civil matters covering a broad range of legal issues in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Attorney Hart has significant experience in professional liability actions, primarily medical and dental professional liability, as well as many types of general liability claims.
Attorney Hart has years of hands on experience litigating claims resulting from construction disputes and accidents involving vehicle collisions, burns, heavy equipment malfunctions, overhead utilities, and electrical injuries.
Attorney Hart was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. He currently resides in Washington County, Pennsylvania, with his wife and two children.

- Represented defendant physicians and practice group against allegations of overuse of coronary stents in mass tort litigation involving more than a hundred individual plaintiffs.
- Represented defendant pipeline contractor against allegations of negligence and breach of contract asserted by a major oil and gas company.
- Represented numerous physicians, dentists, practice groups, and hospitals in professional liability actions including claims of negligence, lack of informed consent, delayed diagnoses, birth injuries, and wrongful death.
- Represented manufacturers in products liability actions including an accident resulting in serious lower body injuries from a stump grinder and a wrongful death claim pertaining to misuse of a wood lathe.
- Represented retailers, restaurants, hospitals, and other property owners in slip-and-fall actions and claims.
- Represented restaurants and taverns in liquor liability actions arising from automobile accidents, fights, and other injuries.
- Represented natural gas supplier and transmission company in various venues for claims ranging from business interruption and minor personal injury to residential home explosions involving death and significant bodily injury.
- Represented a contractor in an American Arbitration Association arbitration.
- Represented automobile dealerships in binding arbitration and state court against actions for fraud and violations of Unfair Trade Practices acts.
- Represented multiple national retailers (including one of Fortune’s top 50 U.S. companies and another in the top 150 U.S. companies) in actions involving premises liability, product liability, the Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices Act, and vehicle collisions.
- Represented a major manufacturer (within the top 200 of Fortune’s top US companies) in multiple mass tort/ toxic tort actions.
- Represented a recycler in multiple class action suits arising out of a very significant fire.
