Francis Garger, is a Shareholder at Davies McFarland & Carroll, P.C., and his practice focuses on the defense of physicians, oral surgeons, dentists, hospitals and other healthcare providers in professional liability litigation. His clients include Tri-Century Insurance Company, The Pennsylvania Medical Society Liability Insurance Company (PMSLIC), Pennsylvania Healthcare Providers Insurance Exchange (PaHPIX), Cincinnati Insurance Company, MIIX and The Medical Protective Company. He regularly handles matters for clients in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is also licensed in the states of West Virginia and Florida. He has handled in excess of 60 civil jury trials.
Prior to joining Davies McFarland & Carroll, P.C., Mr. Garger was an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate in the U.S. Air Force serving from 1972 to 1976. In 1976, he served as an Assistant District Attorney for the County of Allegheny representing the Commonwealth in approximately 300 criminal cases, tried jury and non-jury. Before leaving the District Attorney’s Office, he served as Supervisor of the General Trial Division and was a Trial Attorney in the Narcotic’s Division until 1981.
